FQ OIL FILTER

The oil filter is one of the most important factors in the life of engine. The oil filters job is to clean metal shavings and dirt from the motor oil. It also allows for efficient lubrication of the hundreds of precision moving parts in your car's engine. Many of these parts operate at thousands of movements per minute. Even the tiniest foreign matter in your engine can create excess friction and damage. If that happens, the metal shavings and dirt will circulate in the oil and wear down the engines bearings. This contributes to low oil pressure, which can eventually lead to major engine damage. And that would mean costly repairs or even engine replacement.

There are four main features that determine the quality of an FQ Oil Filter:

  • Sealing Capability

  • Valves

       FQ Oil Filter features two valves - a Bypass Valve

       which allows vital oil to still flow in the event of a filter

       becoming clogged, and an anti drain-back valve

       which prevents oil draining out of the engine and into

       the oil pan. This valve helps protect your engine from

       increased wear during cold starts.

  • Center tube

       FQ Oil Filter uses aluminised heavy-gauge steel

       center tube and end-caps resist corrosion.

FQ FUEL FILTER

Fuel is the lifeblood of your engine. Therefore, it is vital that it is totally free of any contaminants before it enters the workings of your engine. It is the role of the Fuel Filter to trap any foreign matter and provide a clean flow of fuel for smooth performance and engine longevity.

​It's important to check the condition of car's air filter at regular intervals. Experts advise changing your air filter every 10,000 kilometres or once a year. It’s also a good habit to get into to have your engine’s filter checked and – if necessary – cleaned each time you get an oil change. That way, you can keep an eye on its condition and make sure it doesn’t have any holes.

FQ CABIN FILTER

There are many good reasons to change your cabin air filter routinely:

  • Better air quality. Cabin air filters help eliminate the majority of mould and pollen particles that enter your vehicle. Helps remove harmful particles that cannot be seen by the human eye (10 times smaller than human hair). Filters, also, help keep outside fumes from getting into the seating area. A cabin air filter is effective in keeping dust and allergens from getting inside your vehicle and into the air that you breathe. It helps keep this dust and particles from getting into your nose and eyes while you’re enclosed in your vehicle.

  • Heating and cooling system. A dirty cabin air filter restricts airflow into the seating area of your vehicle. This restriction makes it harder on your air conditioning system to heat or cool the interior of your car. That means the components of your system wear out faster. This could eventually lead to a costly repair. As with most things on a vehicle, it cheaper to maintain it along the way than to have a large repair done once a component fails.

  • Cleaner car. Another reason to change your cabin air filter is that it helps keep the inside of your vehicle clean. Before cabin air filters were invented a lot of the dust and dirt from the outside would come into the vehicle and settle in the seating area. If you don’t keep a clean one installed then the filter won’t be as effective in keeping this dirt out.

If you’re not sure if it’s time to replace your cabin air filter, you may notice a few warning signs, such as reduced airflow through your vehicle’s HVAC system or persistent bad odours. When you notice one of these, it’s a pretty good indication that it’s time to have your cabin air filter replaced. Whether you notice these signs or not, you should have your cabin air filter checked every 10000 kilometres or at least once a year. Bear in mind that, if you drive in dirty/dusty conditions, cabin air filter replacement may be required more often.

If you've noticed a lingering odour in your vehicle, or if you're experiencing a decrease in your heating and air conditioning performance, then that's a cue that it may be time to change the cabin air filter.
